Vegan BBQ Chicken Pizza

BBQ Chicken Pizza

 

Ingredients

 

-1 LB Raw Pizza Dough (I used the one from Trader Joe’s)

-3/4 cup BBQ Sauce of choice

-1/2 cup Vegan Cheddar Cheese, shredded 

-1/2 Cup Vegan Mozzarella Cheese, shredded 

-8 oz. Vegan Chicken, cut into strips

-2-3 Cremini Mushrooms, sliced

-1 Jalapeno, sliced

-1/2 Medium Red Onion, thinly sliced

-1 tablespoon Oil of choice 

The Following Seasonings to Taste:

-Black Pepper

-Garlic Powder

-Dried Thyme

-Onion Salt (I used the one from Trader Joe’s)

-Paprika

-Seasoning Salt

-White Flour, or flour of choice for dusting the surface

-Non-stick spray

 

Directions:

 

  1. Prepare the vegan chicken: heat a medium sauté pan on medium high heat. Spray pan with non stick spray and add chicken strips. Add all of the seasonings listed to the chicken. Sauté until browned and crispy (about 10 minutes)

  2. Preheat oven to 425º F

  3. Generously flour a flat surface with flour. Knead and roll the pizza dough into desired shape (I used a rectangle)

  4. Using the oil, spread it evenly on your pizza pan or baking sheet and gently add pizza dough. 

  5. Spread an even layer or BBQ sauce on the dough leaving a 1/2 inch border around the perimeter. Add chicken strips first, followed by the veggies. Top the chicken and veggies with the vegan cheeses. 

  6. Bake pizza until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted
