Vegan Seafood Boil
Vegan Seafood Boil
Ingredients:
-7 oz. Vegan Shrimp
-1 cup Mini Potatoes
-1 large Vegan Sausage
-1/2 cup Heart of Palm, sliced
-1 ear of Corn, halved
-1/4 cup Unsalted Vegan Butter
-1 head of Garlic, minced
-2 tablespoons Shrimp and Crab Boil Concentrate (optional)
-3 tablespoons Salt-Free Creole Seasoning
-3 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
-2 tablespoons Paprika
-1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
-1 tablespoon Onion Powder
-1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
-1 tablespoon Black Pepper
-1 tablespoon Dried Thyme
-1 tablespoon Dried Parsley
An Oven bag for steaming the boil
Directions:
-
Boil the potatoes for 5-7 minutes or until fork tender. Add the corn to the boiling water for the last two minutes of the potatoes’ cooking time
-
Bake the vegan sausage according to the packages instructions and set aside (I placed mine in the air fryer for ten minutes)
-
Heat a small sauce pan on low heat. Add the butter, garlic, and seasonings. Simmer on low for about 5 minutes, or until the garlic is softened, being sure to stir frequently
-
Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Place the oven bag in an oven safe dish. Add the shrimp, potatoes, heart of palm, sausage, and corn to the bag. Drizzle the shrimp and crab boil concentrate and the garlic butter on top. Mix the ingredients together well inside the bag, being sure to evenly coat the contents. Tie a loose knot just above the ingredients. Bake the boil for 10-15 minutes.
