Vegan Big Mac

 

Ingredients:

 

Mac Sauce:

 

-2 tablespoons vegan mayo

-2 tablespoon vegan French dressing

-1 teaspoon mustard

-1 1/2 teaspoons ketchup

-1 tablespoon pickle relish

 

The Burger:

 

-1 vegan hamburger patty

-1 sesame seed bun, plus the bottom half of another bun

-Iceberg Lettuce, shredded

-2 slices vegan cheddar cheese

-Red onion, diced

-Pickle slices

The following seasonings to taste: 

-Black Pepper

-Garlic Powder

 

Directions:

 

  1. Prepare the Mac Sauce: place all of the ingredients into a small bowl and mix well. Place in the fridge to chill

  2. Take the vegan burger patty and split it in half. Take one half of the patty and roll it into a ball. Flatten the ball to make it into a patty about the same diameter of the bun you will be using. Repeat these steps with the remaining side of the burger patty

  3. In a hot skillet, fry the two patties until well done. Two minutes before you take the patties off the fire, place the slices of vegan cheddar on top of the patties. Cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt

  4. Optional: toast the buns. Spray a dry skillet with non stick spray. Place the buns flat side down and toast until golden brown

  5. Build the Big Mac. Take one of the two bottom buns and spread a layer of the sauce. Place lettuce on top of that. Add one of the burger patties. Then, place pickle slices and onion on top of the patty. Take the second bottom bun and place it on top of the pickles and onions. Spread another layer of sauce on this bun followed by lettuce, the final patty, pickles and onions. Finally, on the flat side of the top bun, spread a layer of the sauce and top the burger
