Vegan Corn Dogs

 

Ingredients:

 

-4 Vegan Hotdogs

-1 cup All-Purpose Flour

-3/4 cup Cornmeal

-3 tablespoons Sugar

-1 tablespoon Baking Powder

-1 tablespoon Salt

-1 1/4 cups Plant Milk

-1 1/2 tablespoon Ground Flaxseed

-1 1/2 tablespoons Water

-Oil for frying

 

Directions:

 

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ground flaxseed and water. Set aside for five minutes or until the mixture becomes thick

  2. In a large bowl, place the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk well. Add the flaxseed and then milk little by little. Whisk until smooth. Transfer the batter into a tall glass

  3. Heat about an inch of oil in a large pot on medium-high heat

  4. Take a skewer and stick it into the hotdog lengthwise, being careful not to pierce the top of the hotdog. Dip the skewer into the batter and coat the hot dog well. Place the corn dog into the oil and fry until golden brown.
