Vegan Fish Tacos

 

Ingredients:

 

-Vegan Fried Fish (recipe below)

-Corn Tortillas

-Coleslaw Mix

-Sliced Onion

-Cilantro Lime Cream Sauce (recipe below)

 

Directions:

 

  1. Slice the vegan fish on the bias

  2. Place about a 1/4 cup of the coleslaw mix on a corn tortilla and lay the vegan fish on top. Add the onions on top and drizzle with the cilantro lime cream sauce. 

 

Vegan Fried Fish

 

Ingredients:

 

-14 oz. Banana Blossoms

-4 Nori Sheets

-2 cups All-Purpose Flour

-1 tablespoon Corn Starch

-1 tablespoon Baking Powder

-1 cup Beer of Choice (or Sparkling Water)

The Following Seasonings to Taste:

-Old Bay Seasoning

-Black Pepper

-Salt

-Garlic Powder

-Onion Powder

-Dried Parsley

Oil for frying

 

Directions: 

 

  1. Mix 1 cup of the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, beer, and seasonings to taste in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining flour and seasonings to taste

  2. Slice the nori sheets in half on the short side. Take one banana blossom and wrap it in a nori sheet half. Secure with toothpicks

  3. Heat about two inches of oil on medium high heat. Dredge the banana blossoms in the flour mixture and then dip into the batter. Shake off the excess and place into the oil. Fry until golden brown. 

 

Cilantro Lime Cream Sauce

 

Ingredients:

 

-1/4 Vegan Sour Cream

-2 tablespoons Cilantro, minced

-1 tablespoon Lime Juice

-1 teaspoon Lime Zest

-1 tablespoon Garlic, minced

-1 teaspoon Olive Oil

-Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Directions:

 

  1. Place all the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well to combine.
