Vegan Bubble Tea

 

Milk Tea

 

-4 Black Tea Bags

-1 cup Boiling Water

-3-4 tablespoons Tapioca Balls

-2-3 tablespoons white sugar (varies on sweetness preference)

-1 cup Water

-3-4 tablespoons Simple Syrup

-3/4 cups Plant Milk

-6-8 Ice Cubes

-1 teaspoon Ground Cardamom (optional)

-1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon (optional)

 

 

Thai Milk Tea

 

-1 Heaping Tablespoon Thai Tea (I used THIS one)

-1 cup Boiling Water

-3-4 tablespoons Tapioca Balls

-2-3 tablespoons white sugar (varies on sweetness preference)

-1 cup Water

-3-4 tablespoons Simple Syrup

-3/4 cups Plant Milk

-6-8 Ice Cubes

 

Directions:

 

  1. Steep tea in boiling water for at least ten minutes. If you are making the milk tea, add cinnamon and cardamom to the water

  2. Prepare tapioca balls: place balls in a small sauce pan. Cover with 1 cup of water and add white sugar. Simmer on low until tapioca balls are soft (about ten minutes)

  3. In a shaker, put ice cubes, tea, plant milk, and simple syrup. Shake for about one minute or until frothy

  4. Place the bubbles (do not include liquid). Poor tea and ice over the bubbles and serve
