Vegan Steak N' Shake Frisco Melt

Vegan Frisco Melt

 

Ingredients:

 

-12 oz. Vegan Ground Beef of Choice

-Vegan Cheddar Slices

-Vegan Swiss Slices (or any other vegan cheese of choice)

-Sourdough Bread Slices

-Frisco Sauce (recipe below)

-Vegan Butter

The Following Seasonings to Taste:

-Black Pepper

-Garlic Powder

-Onion Powder

-Non-stick Spray

Directions:

 

  1. Place the vegan ground beef into a large bowl and season to taste. Form the meat into four medium patties. Flatten each patty to about a quarter inch in thickness

  2. Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat. Spray the skillet with non-stick spray and add the patties. Cook for about three minutes on each side or until the patties are browned and heated throughout. Set the patties aside

  3. Build the Frisco melts in the following order: one bread slice, vegan cheddar, hamburger patty, 1 1/2 tablespoons Frisco sauce, vegan Swiss, and the final piece of bread on top. Then, spread a thin layer of vegan butter on the top piece of bread (on the side that is facing up)

  4. Heat a small skillet on medium heat. Place the Frisco melt in the skillet, buttered-bread side down. Butter the other slice of bread that is now facing up. Cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt. After about two minutes, flip the Frisco melt. Cook for an additional two minutes or until both sides are golden brown. 

 

 

Frisco Sauce:

 

Ingredients:

 

-3 tablespoons Vegan Mayonnaise 

-3 tablespoons French Dressing

-2 tablespoons Ketchup

-2 tablespoons Sweet Relish

-1 tablespoon Onion, minced 

-1 teaspoon Lemon Juice

The Following Seasonings to Taste:

-Salt 

-Black Pepper

-Garlic Powder

-Paprika

 

Directions:

 

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a small bowl. Stir well to combine.
