While burger is cooking, heat a small frying pan for the bacon. Heat bacon in the pan until slightly browned and heated throughout
-
Build the burger from the bottom up in the following order: the bottom bun, one slice of cheese, the patty, the remaining slice of cheese, lettuce, bacon, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and the top bun.
McDonald’s Inspired Fries
-1 medium Idaho Potato
-2 tablespoons Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base
-Oil for frying
-Water for boiling
-Salt to Taste
Directions
-
Bring a medium sauce pan to a boil
-
Peel the potato. Cut the potato into the fry shape of your choice. I cut a quarter inch slice off one side of the potato lengthwise, creating a flat side. I then cut quarter inch slices lengthwise. Then I cut these slices lengthwise into three pieces If you can, try to keep the fry widths consistent
-
Stir the Better Than Bouillon into the boiling water. Add the potatoes to the water and boil for 2-3 minutes, being careful not to over cook. Remove the potatoes from the water and set aside
-
Heat your oil on medium-high heat. Add the potatoes and fry for 4-6 minutes
-
Remove the fries, when they are no longer translucent, from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate
-
Raise the heat of the oil from medium-high to high and return the fries to the oil. Fry until golden brown
-
Season with salt to taste
