I Went to London on the Low: Part 1

I think I really have mastered the phrase “move in silence.” I don’t like to tell people what I am up to unless it comes to fruition. Is that weird? I do this for a couple of reasons. For one, I think that sometimes people pray against you. Life can be so difficult at times and it’s hard to see people get certain opportunities if you have been waiting on something to break for yourself. Second, if I am going to take a loss on something, I rather deal with it from the comfort of my own feelings than having watching eyes as well. Call it prideful if you would like but I do a lot to protect my energy and my feelings. Moving in silence is one of the many ways that I do this. My trip to London was no different.

If I am so committed to moving in silence, you maybe wondering why I am sharing a trip that I took to London a few weeks ago on the low. Well first, I like to talk about travel on this blog and did not want to blow the opportunity to share my experience. Then about a month ago, I got an email inviting me to audition in London. There was an option to send in a recording but because of one of my travel perks, I thought it would have cost about the same to hire a pianist as it would to just go to London (I was a bit off in this calculation, a first for me, but I’m glad for the experience nonetheless)...Read the rest HERE!
