This week’s post will be kind of short, but I had a realization I really want to share with you. Recently, someone close to me went through a pretty bad experience. I know, that’s vague but I want to protect our friendship and have a great deal of respect for him. Nevertheless, at the end of a series of heartbreaking series of events, he found himself wondering how he got there, how it got this bad, and how did he not see it coming. The reality is, you can almost always see “it” coming, no matter what “it” is. And yes, there are somethings in life that blindsides us all. But there are also situations that can be avoided if we chose not to ignore the signs.
You might be saying there is not every situation gives signs and to that I retort, are there truly no signs or are you choosing to ignore them? Certain situations lend themselves to ignoring what is in plain sight with the delusion that it will get better or the situation is not as bad as it could be. It’s like wearing rose-colored glasses. Everything looks better with rose-colored glasses. But whether you decide to embrace the signs that life gives you, or chose to ignore their existence, just know they are there.
